GIMS Infrastructure & Support
Global Insurance Management Solutions’ (GIMS) infrastructure is based in a secure Midlands data centre.
The data centre houses a SUN Storage Area Network (SAN) solution, with data replicated to a similar SAN at Hampton Lovett, where the company is based. The data centre is highly resilient with multiple ISP providers and fail over supplies for all essential services. Band width is at 10 megabits, so pages can be quickly delivered to the end user.
The databases are currently Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with transaction logging enabled. Data may be entered through packaged web pages, via load-balanced web servers, or via web service business to business.
